Aug, 25th, 2025, according to the executive order signed by American President Donald Trump, the US Customs and Border Protection Agency released a pre-release version of the announcement on imposing tariffs on Indian goods. The Announcement is scheduled to be officially released and take effect on the 27th.

Said the Anouncement, from 0:01 AM Eastern Time on the 27th, the United States will impose an extra 25% tariff on imported Indian goods for consumption or those extracted from storage for consumption.

US President Trump has signed an order on 6th this month to impose an additional 25% tariff on Indian products on the grounds that India"imports Russian oil directly or indirectly". Except for some exceptional cases, the new tariff measures will be executed 21days after the executive order is announced.

After adding the additional tariffs announced on the 6th, Indian goods imported to the US will generally be subject to a 50% tariff rate.
