High-Quality Chinese Hot-Melt Copper Nuts

Hot-melt copper nuts are a special type of nut, also known as copper inserts, copper nuts, pre-embedded nuts, inlaid copper nuts, or plastic-embedded nuts. Depending on the application method, they can be categorized into hot-melt copper nuts, hot-press copper nuts, insert-type copper nuts, and ultrasonic copper nuts. These hot-melt copper nuts are widely used as internal threaded components in mobile phone casings, laptop casings, injection-molded parts, and plastic components. They typically feature an outer circular knurling to prevent slipping.

Hot-melt copper nuts are made from copper material (usually lead-free brass such as C3604, H59, or H62). They offer advantages including excellent resistance to rust and corrosion, high thermal and electrical conductivity, making them ideal for applications requiring anti-rust properties, high-temperature performance, and efficient heat or electricity conduction.

While most fasteners rely on screwing, hot-melt embedding is the most common and widely used method for installing copper nuts. This process is typically performed using a hot-melt machine or a manual soldering iron.

1. The copper press handle is heated electrically to 80–90°C, bringing it into contact with the copper nut and raising its temperature;

2. The copper nut is pressed into the plastic part;

3. The press handle is withdrawn, leaving the copper nut permanently fused with the plastic through thermal bonding.
